"In Kemira Water Segment the cooperation with Thurne Teknik regarding glass lined equipment started in 1987. In that time we transferred our coagulant production into pressurized glass lined reactors. During these years we have had a close cooperation to improve the life time of the glass lined equipment. Some of our processes are very close to the limits for the equipments chemical resistance. Thurne Teknik is the natural “interface” for the discussions with the manufacturers, giving a catalytic extra value. The fact that they now cover the whole Scandinavia is also a great advantage for all our local plants here. The last contribution in this type of equipment is our common efforts to now have standardized spare equipment ready to be shipped into the whole Europe that is complying with PED."
