Historically Sweden, Finland and Norway have been the heart of the European Paper Industry since late 19th Century.
Thurne Teknik has from its very beginning built up a strong cooperation with some of the major suppliers for this market: IBS Paper Performance Group including James Ross and JUD. ABB Cellier and Spooner. The main focus was set on equipments, components and service to the paper mills and the paper machine itself where the demand of very high quality and reliability of delivered products is essential to the customers.
Together with our suppliers we were able to successfully implement products like dewatering elements, ceramic lists, showers, doctor systems, coating kitchen woven fabrics and air turns in paper machines in Sweden and Norway. We have also been involved in several tensioner and guide projects as well as in projects of rebuilding coating kitchens and air dryers after coating stations. Some of these projects have been realized together with OEM´s like Metso and UMV/BTG.
Since 2005 Thurne provides an own service department for IBS Change-Over-Systems and ceramic control in close cooperation with the service office in IBS Finland. Spare parts and paper tapes can be provided from stock within 24 hours.
